Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward 17 has launched an AI-powered call center that can handle up to 15 calls simultaneously. This initiative aims to create a "smart ward" by providing citizens with easy access to information and services. Callers can dial 01 5971989 and interact with an AI assistant who can answer common questions about ward services, such as citizenship recommendations and senior citizen allowance distribution. If the AI cannot answer a question, the call is transferred to a ward employee. The system also tracks call data to analyze citizen concerns and improve service delivery.

Balen's YouTube Channel & Pro-Monarchy Song: What Happened?

Published 6 days ago

A pro-monarchy AI-generated song, 'Searching for Gyanendra,' appeared on Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah's official YouTube channel, sparking social media debate. Technical experts suggest someone exploited loopholes in digital distributors like DistroKid to link the song to Balen's channel, possibly for clickbait. The song, uploaded three months ago, has garnered significantly fewer views than Balen's usual content. Similar incidents have occurred with other artists like Sushant KC and Samir Shrestha, where unauthorized songs were linked to their profiles. DistroKid is a digital distributor that allows artists to upload music to platforms like YouTube Music and Spotify. Anyone can create an account and potentially misuse it by linking content to incorrect profiles.
